Alex Moseley - Available Tuesday and Wednesday

Brief History -

Greetings, I am Alex, guitarist/composer. I discovered my passion for music after taking up the piano and recorder in a primary school music program. Soon after, I discovered the guitar at age 10 and began to study rock/pop/metal/blues and jazz. Through these styles I found my love for improvisation and song writing. During my high school studies I discovered the excitement of playing in a rock band as well as the school jazz band. After witnessing a classical guitar performance by Slava Grigoryan, I soon took up the classical guitar. In 2006 I was accepted to do a Bachelor of music performance at the Sydney Conservatorium. Throughout my degree I studied with Greg Pikler, Phillip Houghton and Aleks Tsiboulski. In 2007 I spent time in Germany studying under Irina Kulikova, Roman Viazovskiy and Andrew Zohn. My performance experience has involved: Restaurants, weddings, church recitals, and performances through the Conservatorium.

Parallel to my guitar studies, I have also found great passion studying composition. I studied at Wollongong Conservatorium under John Spense. My compositional path has led me to compose the music for a profession production of Romeo and Juliet and to be involved in film music composition.
